Incredibly warm knitwear with no pilling or balling
The fine wool of the Merino sheep and the soft fur of the Brushtail Possum combine to create a naturally light weight, incredibly warm fabric which is just gorgeous to wear. Possum fur is a hollow fibre that traps heat brilliantly and makes the garment much warmer than pure merino. The addition of possum fur to the merino also stops the annoying pilling or balling that can happen with pure wool garments.

Birdlife threatened in Possum Paradise
The Brushtail possum is an Australian import brought to New Zealand around 100 years ago to start a fur trade. In New Zealand the possums found paradise with no natural predators and an abundance of native trees and birds eggs to feast upon.
It is estimated we now have 80 million possums dining out each evening. This causes enormous damage to our beautiful forests and is a serious threat to our precious birdlife.
